Actor Kamal Hassan at IIT Image Photo Gallery
Kamal Hassan, the legend is hosting the Chennai International Screenwriting workshop under his film production company Raajkamal Films International banner at IIT Madras. There will be several notable screenwriters who will participate in the workshop which will be held for two days.
French writer Jean Claude Carrie, Olivier Lorelle, Shakar Kapur, K. Balachander, Balu Mahendra, Gulzar, Sriram Ragahvan, Shyama Prasad, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Vishal Bharadwaj, Rituparno Ghosh, and lot of other famous writers are participating in this event.
Vikram’s View on Ravan
Chiyan Vikram who is quite busy promoting his film Kanthaswamy which is being released as Mallana, in Telugu recently gave an interview about the movie. He said that the film has been traded for whopping cost and also the satellite rights for the movie has been sold out for a huge amount making the film already a big success commercially. The actor is happy that he has crooned four songs in the movie.
The actor who plays the protagonist in the Mani Rathnam’s next flick, Ravan is pretty happy with his role and also the shooting has been progressing well. He wakes up at early morning around 4.a.m. to go for shooting and then return for the rehearsals late night. He browses through the dialogues 11p.m for the next day. He stated that the Hindi version of Ravan is bit complicated and it will show him as a different role that will be contrasting to that of Ravan in Tamil. Abishek Bachan who is co-starring with Vikram has much respect for Chiyan Vikram and his acting.
Abhishek is a good friend of Vikram.Recently when Abishek’s father, Amithabh Bachan met Virkam, he made Vikram shocking by stating that he knew his tamil movies Saamy and Dhool. It was very happy for him to know that the Bollywood superstar enjoyed his movies, and also their family had DVDs of chiyan Vikram’s movies at their home. He is also happy to work with Miss Universe Aishwarya Rai who is also playing a critical role in the movie.
When asked whether he has any dreams to enter Bollywood, VIkram modestly said that he is happy with his career in south india and does not want to enter Bollywood. Meanwhile, Vikram spends his leisure time, relaxing with his two kids doing all sorts of fun at his home. He feels that his best place to relax is his home and enjoying with his two kids.
Vaigai puyal Vadivelu with Sundar.c in the movie “Vettu”
Vettu, the next movie for director and actor Sundar C, which is directed by Mano is an entertainer with Vadivelu also making an association with Sundar C after a long time. The movie is produced by Kushboo’s Avni Cine Max.
Vadivelu and Sundar.C had a problem while filming Rendu and so, they did not show up together for some time. The last movie they acted together was Thalainagaram which was full of fun and comedy with vadivelu playing the role very well. The scenes were interesting and the pair is trying to make the same magic and fun with Vettu.
Vijayalakshmi in Naan Avan Illai – 2
Vijayalakshmi the actress who starred in the movie Chennai 28 and after that she was filled with quite a few offers both in Tamil and telugu. The sequence for the movie Naan Avan Illai is going to be produced and director Selva has brought in Vijayalakshmi since Sneha who already signed for the movie is not going to act in the movie due to some other assignments. Since her absence could make the movie dull, he is bringing in another star.
Vijayalaksmi’s role will be only towards the end of the movie. Vijayalakshmi will also star in Naan Avan Illai – III which will be directed by Selva who has already made plans for that. The movie Naan avan illai, which is the sequel to the interesting first part Naan Avan Illai, played by Actor Jeeva along with five actresses including Sneha, Malavika will be a romantic entertainer with humor included in it.
Naan Avan Illai-II is under progress and actor Jeevan is romancing with stars like Sangeetha, Lakshmi Rai, Swetha Menon, Rakshna Mourya and Hemamalini.
Deepika in Krish Sequel
Krish which made a big success in the box office with Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra in the lead role is going to comeback as a sequel. The Roshans who are the producers of the movie are making plans for the second part since the first was a big hit.
Roshan’s father, who is the producer of the movie, is very keen to sign Deepika Padukone for the second part. Nothing has been finalized yet. But hopes is that lot of foreign technicians will be involved for the movie.
Meanwhile, Deepika has been reported as more beautiful than Angelina jolie by the Fast and Furious film director Rob Cohen.Padukone is a favourite in the world of fashion, having endorsed International brands like Maybelline and Levi’s in the past.
Padukne is the most searched celebrity on Yahoo in 2008, surpassing Bollywood favourites Aishwarya Rai and Shilpa Shetty.
Karan Back with a Bang
Actor Karan who is getting prepared for the release of his next film Malayan is happy with the film’s production going smoothly. The actor who made good performance in the movie Karuppasamy Kuthagaikaran and Kokki is getting back as rogue in the movie Tami Vettothi Sundaram. The movie directed by VC Vadividayan show him as good hearted rowdy who helps the people around him.
Malayan which shows him as a worker in the fireworks industry is also a similar movie. This movie directed by V.C Vadividayan is about the real life incident which took place in Kanyakumari and tells the story of most literate district in TamilNadu which has the records for the maximum number of crimes in the state.
Actor Karan plays a decent rogue in the movie with a good heart. Anjali co-stars along with karan as the lead role in female. The film will be shot in places like Kanyakumari, Nagercoil and Tiruvannamalai.Vairamuthu is the lyricist for the movie and the music will be scored by Vidyasagar.
Vijay’s Choice of Lyrics in Vettaikaran
Illayathalapathy Vijay has always good taste for lyrics in his movies as most of his films come with super hit songs and that’s what makes them a big hit. The actor was very much impressed by the lyricist Kapilan’s works in the movie Vetaikkaran. The lyricist who wrote the song “Unavu Udai Uraividaam Uzhavanukkum avan anupavicha micha meedhi aandavanakku Padaikkanum”. The actor was very happy that the songs verse was written beautifully by the writer and this could add values to his movie.
The same lyricist also wrote the lyrics for the movie Pokkiri for the song Adungada Enna Suthi, with the lines Theepandham Edudhu Theendamai Koluthu, which was a big hit and the fans of Illayathalapathy used the lines to promote the movie through banners and flex ads. Vijay is happy that this time, Vetaikkaran also has nice lyrics in its songs. The film has lot of expectations from his fans. Babu Sivan and team are working hard for the film, and Vijay is also happy that his opposite star Anushka is her peak of fame with her previous hit Arundhathi. So, he is expecting a breakthrough with the movie.
Surya’s Gangster Movie Singam
The director Hari’s next flick with Surya in the lead role, Singam is on the verge of starting its production since Hari has completed the script work for the movie. The movie is expected to begin shooting at Rameshwaram. Singam is about smuggling through ships illegally for which Rameshwaram is well known. Surya plays a sincere and fierce cop who tries to prevent the smugglers from ruining the country’s wealth and pride by smuggling items illegally through ships.
Anushka will be playing the lead role opposite Surya and this movie has one more importance as it is the 25th film for Surya. His first role as a cop in Kaaka Kaaka was a big hit and Surya is expecting to make the same thing happen again with Singam.
Singam will be an action-packed entertainer with comedy and romance mixed in it. Singam will be shooted at Kutralam, Tutucorin, Tirunevlevli, Chennai and Rameshwaram. Surya will get into work for Singam after he completed the movie Aadhavan which is going to be completed soon.
The editor for singam is V.T. Vijayan and cinematographer is Priyan. The music for the flick will be scroed by Devi Sri Prasad and the film is produced by K.E. Gnanavel under the banner of Studio Green.
Trisha and Silambarasan’s Feast with the Indian Ambassador
Trisha and Simbu who romanced in the beautiful islands of Malta in the coast of Meditaranean sea, had a busy 14 day schedule there. Only few films have been shot in those rare tourist spot and mostly Hollywood film directors prefer those spot and it’s the first time for Tamil movie.
Trisha was very happy that the people in the island were very helpful and affectionate. She also did some shopping there, and all of the products were very good with reasonable prices. The Indian Ambassador who stays in Malta islands invited the film crew for a dinner at his palace. They enjoyed the treat given by the Indian ambassador and then returned to India.
Simbu has flown to watch the finals between Manchester United and Barcelona in Rome. He is a football freak and fan of Manchester united club. The actress Trisha expressed her happiness for getting a chance to visit those islands and said that everyone must visit the place at least once in a lifetime and enjoy the scenic beauty of the coastal islands.
