Dhanush in Telugu ‘Arya’ Remake- “Kutty” A Brief Preview
Dhanush plays a college student for the first time in ‘Kutty’, directed by Mithran R. Jawahar. The film is a remake of the Telugu super hit ‘Arya’, starring Allu Arjun. The film is a remake of Telugu superhit Arya, and Jawahar has made extra efforts to make sure that Kutty is true to its original without any lag in narration!
The light-hearted romantic movie will give Dhanush an image makeover, says the director. He is in line to bag the title, ‘Kaadhal mannan’, he says. Shriya saran plays the female lead. The duo had come together in ‘Thiruvilayadal’.
Dhanush’s last venture, ‘Padikkaathavan’ was a superhit. His forthcoming films include ‘Idhu Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam’ and ‘Aadu Kalam’. Kutty may hit screens in June!
Dhanush, who has the looks of a common man, is getting ready for his next release titled Kutty opposite Shriya produced by Gemini Film Circuit and directed by Mithran R. Jawahar. It may be noted that it was the same director who gave Dhanush his previous hit Yaaradi Nee Mohini.
Music has been scored by Devi Sri Prasad, whose numbers in the original Telugu flick Arya were a sensation. In fact, the music director is said to have retained three of the five original tracks for Kutty. Cinematography is handled by Balasubramaniyam.
Jawahar promises this will be a light-hearted romantic movie with plenty of ingredients for Dhanush fans to go crazy over!
The first stills of Dhanush’s Gemini Film Circuit produced Kutty are out. It looks like a cool campus fun movie, and is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arya.
The film is almost complete, and the audio will be launched mid May. Remember the film has music by Devi Sri Prasad, the rocking music director whose Arya numbers were a sensation and chartbusters.
Who can forget the hot numbers in the film like Takadhimithom… and Aa ante Amalapuram…? Well Devi as per grapevine is retaining three of the five original tracks in Kutty
The film has Shreya in the female lead, with Balasubramaniyam’s camera, and Kola Bhaskar’s editing. The film is scheduled to release in June.
The Storyline of Kutty…
It is a warm and realistic love story with Dhanush and Shriya in lead roles. This love story does not involve any cinematic one-man-against-ten-men fights but showcases Dhanush as a person close to his real self. The role, devoid of extra frills and heroic exaggerations, portrays him as a youthful college-going youngster. Shriya is clad in a ‘paavadai-dhaavani’; in short, the film is full of nice, heart-warming, emotional moments.
Director Mitran R. Jawahar is a protege of director Selvaraghavan. Prior to Kutty, the director-hero duo has already created the hit Yaaradi nee Mohini. Dhanush and Shriya too have proved to be a blockbuster pair through Thiruvilaiyaadal. Backed by all needed cinematic sentiments, Kutty is gearing up for a quick release. Music for the film is by Yuvanshankar Raja.
