Masilamani Movie Review
Actors: Nakul, Sunaina
Directed By: R N R Manohar
Music: D Imman
Songs: Pa. Vijay
Production: AGS Entertainment
Nakul and Sunaina starrer Masilamani has hit the theatres already and it has not received much support from the tamil audience. Released by Sun Pictures and directed by R.N.R Manohar, the film has an ordinary storyline and there is no much difference in it and its an ordinary commercial movie.
The story begins with the central character Masi played by Nakul who is a college student interested in lot of social activities. He likes to fight for the society and help the needy, for example if he finds a blockage in his street’s drainage; he would go to have fight with the MLA in his area. He would prevent the rascals from eve-teasing innocent girls. He is however mistaken the heroine Sunaina as she considers him as a rowdy who does anti socialism. But Nakul is impressed by her beauty and falls in love with her. The actor determines that in order to win her love, he must win her family first. So, he first impresses her family members by disguising himself as Mani who is Mr. Deeds. The whole family is impressed by his good deeds but Sunaina is unaware of it. There is also good comedy track in the middle which is taken care of by MS Baskar, who comes in with different getups to impress the audience. Also there is Karunas to give him company.
The acting by Nakul and Sunaina is good and they have a good chemistry between them. The songs haves been penned by Pa. Vijay and the music has been scored by Imman. The movie is similar to Thullata Manamum Thullum and there is nothing new with the script. The climax is a tragedy with some good momentum and action in the second half.
