Mumtaz Is Back Again With Rajathi Raja
Kollywood one of the hottest actresses Mumtaaz who was introduced to cinema by director T. Rajendar with the movie Monisha en Monolisa is getting back to action after a long break. We cannot forget her romantic dance with Vijay in the movie Kushi for the song Katipudi Katipudi da… and lot of other glamorous performances.
She also starred opposite T. Rajendar in the flick Veersami which was a big flop and then she did not come to the silver screen for a long time. Now she is making a comeback with the movie Rajathi Raja in which she plays a negative role. This is a movie starring Lawrence and she has got a chance to get back into tamil cinema.
She had given a break after some repeated glamorous roles and she wanted to do something different. In the meantime, she has lost weight and has returned as a glamour queen. She has been in diet and since she had hormonal imbalance, she had put weight but now she has shed 21 kilos of fat through rigorous exercise and has become so sexy.
This new role in Rajathi Raja was proposed to her by director Sakthi Chidambaram and since it was different from her previous roles she accepted it. She plays the character Saidai Shylaja who is a petty Ganja seller who becomes a corrupt politician and finally becomes a minister.
She plays a role similar to that of Ramya Krishnan in the movie padayappa and her role is of great importance to the movie.
She wears a sexy costume, chiffon and georgette saris throughout the movie. All the five songs in the movie have been picturised with her. She feels happier with her role and she wants to do some similar roles in the coming flicks. She does not want to compete with glam girls like Nayanthara and Namitha but wants to do some meaningful roles in good movies that would get her name in the box office.
