Y.Gee. Mahendran, yesteryear comedian and Character artist’s stage drama “Sudesi Iyer” recently completed 100th show. Y.G. Mahendran has been staging plays for a long time and he is very good former comedian of kollywood industry.
The actor’s dear friends Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan visited the special show and awarded him memento. Others who graced the occasion were Latha Rajinikanth, Soundarya Rajinikanth, Dhanush, Aishwarya Dhanush and Gouthami.
In two separate events in the city yesterday, two highly acclaimed people in their respective fields were honored for their contributions to Tamil art and culture. At the Kamarajar Arangam, it was a special performance for the stage legend Y.G. Mahendra who was staging his 100th play. To mark the achievement and to honor him two legends of the Tamil film industry; Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth were present. Rajini was present along with his wife, daughters and son-in-law Dhanush while Kamal was present along with daughter Apsara, Gauthami and her daughter Subbulakshmi.
In another event on the same day at the Russian Cultural Center, reputed writer Jeyakanthan was honored for receiving the Padma award, the day was also the writer’s 77th birthday. Kamal Haasan was also present during the event.
