Kamal, the legendary actor is also a good director and has successfully written several scripts that have been a good success. The actor recently held an international script writing workshop where lot of people from all over the word attended it and it was a big success. Kamal who convened the idea of 30 short film production by the candidates who attended his workshop at the recent press meet which he gathered in order to make some changes to the Tamil cinema industry is very happy about this initiative.

He discussed about this idea in the present meet held at Prasad labs which was chaired by the French script writer Jean Claude Carriere who arrived in Chennai for the workshop. Kamal pondered about this idea and he philosophy quoted that the Seeds will sow now will be beneficial to the next generation.

The short films are supposed to be sponsored by Prasad labs which will be centered on Chennai. Kamal also revealed that he will direct his own short film, which can also be a slient movie. It is a known fact that Kamal and Amala have starred together in a silent movie earlier. Kamal mentioned that the future trend of movies will be short films like in Hollywood which can be a change to ordinary commercial movies.
